Due to busy work commitments we have been unable to find the time to keep people updated on the winter maintenance of Moonshine, until now.
Peter went down to I.V.S.S Marine in Sandwich, Kent 2 weeks ago, to collect the newly overhauled outdrives.
The drives have been shot blasted to bare metal, a full strip down and rebuild, and full repaint in two pack paint.
We are really pleased with the standard of workmanship on the drives. They are returned ready to fit to the boat, filled with oil, hook up bushes, new anodes, new decals fitted and the UJ joints come fitted with a grease nipple to ensure a long service life, something which Volvo do not fit as standard.
It is nice to deal with a reputable firm that do excellent standard work at a fair price. We are very much looking forward to these being refitted in a few weeks time prior to relaunch, and hopefully Moonshine will be as good as new once again.
